“I have known Paul DeAngelo for 35 years
and he has mounted over thirty freshwater
fish for my collection and when people see
the fish mounts they can not believe how
perfect they are and beautiful.  The fish he
has mounted are the finest mounts I have
ever seen anywhere.  The details are much
more perfect than a reproduction fish, they
are works of art in my opinion.  He has
mounted salmon, steelhead, brown trout,
lake trout, brook trout and tiger trout for
me.  He is a true fish artist and I will always
recommend him to other fishermen.”

“We have known Paul for 12 years.  Our
charter business worked closely with Paul
on approximately 300 fish for our
customers.  No complaints ever!!  We have
13 fish of our own (from Paul).  We see
approximately 100,000 people during the
winter show season and the most asked
question is, ‘Who did these fish?’  The
quality is impeccable!  The detail is
incredible.  No comparison to replicas.  I
would highly recommend Paul for any fish
taxidermy.  You will not see any better.

To anyone who chooses to have Paul
mount a fish, you will see the
professionalism involved in his mounts.
Paul's mounts are very durable and
detailed.

Welcome to the world of Paul
DeAngelo - a world in which your
trophy fish comes alive with creative
poses in breathtaking dioramas. Paul
is not just a Taxidermist but a true fish
artist! His work is undeniably some of
the best in the country. His attention to
detail is outstanding and his
craftsmanship is created to last a life
time. Fourteen De Angelo mounts
grace my home, some as old as 14
years, and I can say that they look as
good as they did when he created
them over a decade ago. For the fish
of a lifetime, De Angelo is a master
artisan. His high quality creations
preserve the memories of that special
catch. They are also a wise investment
with his utilization of true skin mounting
techniques over long lasting fiberglass.
I invite you to browse some of the
lifetime memories that Mr. DEAngelo
has created for me over the years. For
my Trophy Lake Trout, Steelhead,
King Salmon, Brook Trout, Rainbow
Trout and Browns, I have trusted only
the work of Paul DEAngelo. His
creations sustain those special
moments that come around too few
times in a fisherman’s lifetime.

I first met Paul DeAngelo when I took my
first large steelhead to him for mounting in
1991.  I had seen his work displayed at
Tony’s Sport Shop in Pulaski, NY and was
impressed with his attention to detail and
beautiful painting of the fish.  When I
received my fish I was not disappointed. 17
years later, my steelhead mount is as
gorgeous as ever.  Of the 17 fish that I
have had mounted over the years, Paul
has done the work on 11 of them.  My
fishing buddies were so impressed with
Paul’s skills that four of them sent fish up to
his New York shop from way down in
Southern Pennsylvania.  My other mounts
done by other taxidermists seem to be
laying motionless but Paul’s look like they
are still trying to get up stream.  With his
scale detail and beautiful painting they look
like they were just taken out of the water.
Take my word, if you have just caught a
trophy fish and would like a mount that you
will be proud to hang on your wall, let Paul
DeAngelo give you not a fish, but a work of
art.

I’d been catching great fish for over 20
years in 1988 before I ever wanted to
have one mounted.  That was the year
I met Paul DeAngelo and saw his
outstanding taxidermy work.  Up until I
saw Paul’s work, each mounted fish I
had ever seen looked like a dead
“stuffed fish”.  But upon seeing Paul’s
taxidermy studio, I discovered that a
mounted fish could look alive.  Since
1988, Paul has mounted four
salmonids of mine representing four
different trout and salmon species.
Each mount is impeccable.  My Rhode
Island State record Rainbow Trout 28
inches long at 11 pounds which Paul
mounted under glass is a work of art.  I
would trust this fish to no one else.
The State record I caught in 1991 is
mounted as if under water in an
anatomical position trying to rid itself of
the lure it mistook for a small minnow.
That mount, and all of Paul’s work look
as good today as the moment I
received them.  I often bring the record
trout to seminars I conduct and people
want to know if it’s wet.  They can’t
believe the life-like appearance and
beauty of this actual skin mounted
trophy trout which is typical of all Paul’s
work.  His attention to detail and ability
to capture the fishes’ natural
appearance is work worthy of the
Smithsonian.  Fiberglass mounts are
pallid in comparison.  As a State
biologist and outdoor writer who gets
to see hundreds of taxidermy pieces,
Paul DeAngelo’s work is without a
doubt the best and most durable.  He
is a leader in his craft.

Best fish mounts that I have seen here

I absolutely LOVE the male coho mount I
got from you last spring ! It now completes
the "trilogy" of king salmon, brown trout and
coho salmon from my 8 years fishing on the
Salmon River. All 3 grace the walls of my
kitchen (where better to hang beautiful fish
that are also a work of art ?). I've seen lots
of fish mounts and even stuff in the National
Aquarium in Baltimore doesn't come close
to your work !
